For my fist day in Belize, I had a busy morning, meeting new people and see the area. We went to visit a widow from church and I was reminded again that we need to be thankful for all we have. This lady had poor exterior doors, yet she was thankful that she had them because some people don't have exterior doors. We also went to the market, where their were lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. There were also some apples that were from the USA and kiwi from outside of the country as well :) We went to the Chinese grocery store and I saw many comforts of home. They even had Nutella :) They carry many of the same products. For lunch I had a pupusa which is a handmade corn tortilla that is filled with cheese pork, and refried beans.  Friday evening was spent eating pizza with the Marisol and her kids Dayana and Darren. (They live in a house on Margaret's yard.) Saturday was another rainy day and was spent around the house. I made some cookies in the afternoon, although they didn't turn out like they usually do, which I'm sure will come :). This morning I went to church, it was bit of a different atmosphere then my church at home, but I enjoyed it and the people were friendly. Although it was harder to listen to the message with a kid on your lap. I also woke up this morning to find out their was no water! Note to self shower in the evening:) Sometimes the water gets turned off, although in this case it was a burst water pipe. Glad it's back on and I was able to shower :) All in all things are going good. Alt
