This week it has been hot and humid, and the sun has started shining. Monday I was privileged to have my hair done by the twins:) Otherwise I stayed home and helped look after the 3 busy bodies. In the evening a couple came over for a visit. So many new people and names to remember!! Tuesday we went to the hairdresser and the twins got 'pretties' put in their hair :) It was another hot day, with a refreshing afternoon shower. Today (Wednesday) I got a day to myself. Doing nothing felt refreshing :) In the afternoon I wandered around downtown San Ignacio. I also went to the market, where I bought a pineapple. It was sooo good.
Some random things from my time here so far is, I have a new game to add to my list of favorite games, Qwirkle. I have seen some parrots fly across the yard a couple of times. I have also been getting used to the sound of the geckos. As long as I don't have to get to close to them I think I can live with them :) After all they eat the bus, and the mosquitoes I couldn't leave at home:)
Well it has been a week since I stepped on the plane and left home. What it's already been a week!! No dought this week has not been without it's challenges. Adjusting to the heat, and missing home. But God is good and I am adjusting better than I thought I would. Thanks to all you who are praying at home!!
The geckos eat the bus!?!?? Lol...keep blogging, we enjoy reading about the adventures...and that pineapple...just a little jealous :) we love you and are proud of you!
ReplyDeleteI thought geckos make good pets :) What color are they?
ReplyDeleteSome people like mice for pets too! I didn't like the geckos either which Margaret seemed to find humorous!
ReplyDeleteThe geckos are brownish grey looking. I guess I should start proof reading a bit more :)
