Thursday I learned that a foggy morning means that the sun will come out and it will be a hot day. And that's just what happened today! I've also started noticing that the foggier it is the hotter the day. It was what I would call a pretty average day here. Today we had Chinese takeout for supper!!
Friday morning I went to the market and on some other errands with Margaret while the kids were at preschool. Got to meet some more people and see some of the department stores in the area. Friday was also Dexter's 16th Birthday!! So we decided to celebrate it here too! We had pizza for supper (which is like a Friday night tradition) and a chocolate cake for dessert. I enjoy baking, but it's not as much fun when the oven is heating up the house even more :)
Saturday I ended up looking after the twins in the morning while Margaret took a boy she knows to the hospital. We had a fun morning of coloring, playing, and reading books. In the afternoon Margaret, Marisol, and I played Qwirkle, while the kids napped. In the evening we all went out to Cayo Twist for ice cream! What better way to cool off after a hot day!
Sunday morning we went to church. I go to a baptist church were we are the only white people. I am missing the worship from at home.  We do sing from a hymn book so I recognize some of the songs, and I'm sure I will know a lot more hymns when I come home. For lunch I had watermelon. That hit the spot! Cold watermelon on a hot day is so refreshing!! In the evening I soaked my feet and got a foot massage. That felt good.
Today I get the day off. I even managed to sort of sleep in. I woke up at 7:30!! I decided to take a walk this morning to a nearby grocery store. It was about a 15 min walk. By the time I got home I was drenched in sweat. And it was 10:30! Enjoyed some time to myself and cleaning up my room. I spent some time talking to my grandma and Dexter. It makes missing home easier :)
I have a new fruit to add to my favorite fruits!! Papaya. I can't wait to try it in a smoothie!!
I am starting to find out where and how I fit in and I am starting to look for things I can do and be involved in. Things are going well and I am so blessed with this opportunity.

Happy Birthday Dexter!!
