So, keeping up a regular blog takes a lot of time! But it has been good for me, because if it weren't for this blog and knowing people are reading it and a way to tell people about what I am doing, I don't think I would be keeping much of a record of what I've been doing. I never have been to good at keeping a journal :)
So, on Friday I went to preschool! It was neat to see how they do preschool here. In the future I may have the opportunity to help in the preschool, which is connected to the church I go to. In the evening I met with 3 neighbor girls. I enjoyed my time getting to know them, and we plan on meeting every Friday to do a bible study together. I am looking forward to it, as I know it will be good for me, and I'm sure very stretching.
Happy 3rd Birthday Kabe and Kiana. Saturday we celebrated the twin's birthday. We had a small party in the evening. with supper, and topping it off with cake and ice cream. I made Orange Salad for supper, and it turned out better than I thought it might. I had to improvise because we couldn't find some of the exact ingredients. Thanks Mom for your help :)
Sunday was harvest in church. Harvest is like thanksgiving. The morning service was filled with a program done by all the different age students, singing, and the message. It was long and hot morning, but it was interesting to watch. For the program the kids would come up in their age group, either by Sunday School Class, or their school class (the church has a preschool and early elementary school, connected to their church). Each child walks up with a basket of either fruits, vegetables, or baking. They then do a song, verse, or prayer, or a combination. The baskets are like offerings to the Lord and a way of thanking him for all he has provided. The whole morning is dedicated to giving thanks. The baskets are later sold to raise money for the church. Had a relaxing afternoon, playing games, and eating food. Although the most days seem to have a pretty steady routine things can change with a single phone call. Sunday evening we ended up with 6 extra kids for supper. They came seeking help and a safe place because of trouble at home. Pray for them and their family situation. They went home in the evening, but things still weren't great.
Well today was my day off again. Did nothing all morning :) well I cleaned up a bit and did some laundry. In the afternoon I attempted the walk to downtown San Ignacio. It took me about 1/2 hour, well it was down hill for part of the way:) I then treated myself to Ice Cream at Western Dariies. I need to cool off. I went to the market and bough myself a papaya, some banana's and another pineapple. I then took a Taxi to the grocery store and then I walked back from their.  I'm tired now, but it felt good. So did the cold shower I took when I got back:)
We are know the same time as Manitoba time, till now we were an hour behind. Funny how the time zones work. I also didn't know that the heat and humidity can cause swollen feet, but it does.
All in all things have been going good. I am learning to deal with the constant heat and adapt to a different way of life, and doing things. Thanks for all the prayers. You can continue to pray for the twins as they are in the process of adoption, and that God's will, will be done in their lives.

This is where home is. Margaret and the kids stay upstairs (the green part of the house), and I am currently staying downstairs (which is the yellow part of the house.

Kiana on her birthday!

Kabe on her birthday! They really liked the balloons :)

The Birthday Cake!

We enjoyed the birthday supper outside on the deck.
This guy was in my room last night when I went to bed!

This is where we do most of our grocery shopping.

Going into downtown San Ignacio.
