Wednesday morning Angelita left (I spelled her name wrong in the last post), so now the house is quiet. Marisol came back today, from where she has been house sitting the last 2 weeks, so that will create more action around here. In the evening while Margaret and Marisol and Dayana, went to ladies bible study I stayed home and looked after Darren and Zion.  The power went out right before we started getting supper ready, so we had to find the food in the dark and then we ate outside, until it was dark out their too. The sun sets here around 5:30. After supper the power came back on. Darren and I spent some time playing Uno, and then we played some Payday. It was overall a pretty quiet day. Their also seemed to be a lot of Parrot action today. Their was a bunch that flew over, and then some landed in nearby trees.

Thursday morning Margaret left for Arizona to visit some friends for a couple of days. She is also bringing her son Cory back. He has been in Alaska for the last 6 months and is meeting her in Arizona and coming back to Belize with her. Between Marisol and I we will be looking after Zion until Margaret comes back. Otherwise it was a pretty low key day, I went to preschool in the morning and had a quiet afternoon.
Friday was preschool again, and in the evening I met with a couple of girls for our bible study. Praying that they will be getting something out of the study and that they will take it to heart and be able to apply it to their life. Enjoyed supper with Marisol and the kids in the evening. She is looking after Zion for the first couple of days, and then I will take him for the last couple. Enjoyed playing games in the evening with the kids.
Saturday was a full day. In the morning I went Ziplining!! It was so amazing and a really neat way to experience God's creation. The whole experience was great! Didn't realize how much strength you need to zipline. You have to pull down to brake, and because it was raining the lines were wet making it faster. But it was soooo much fun to sore though the trees and above the trees. When I got back Marisol told me that I had been invited to go to Marla's House of Hope in Belmopan by a family I had not yet met, but we had been trying to get together with. It is so cool how God works. The family I went with have 2 girls and a boy. The girls are ages 22 and 17, and the boy is 14, although the boy didn't come with us. I enjoyed getting to know the family a bit. Anyways, back to Marla's House of Hope. It is a girls home, and it currently houses girls between the ages of 1 month and 17. The one month old's mother is a 13 year old girl that is living their as well. The house is truely as house of hope though. The girls were so happy to see us and they had even made up a dance that morning to show us. I really got to know a 16 year old girl, Narimi. I don't know how she ended up at Marla's, but she did share how she met Christ. She also shared some of what she has been learning and some of the changes that have taken place in her life. She hasn't been at the house a year yet. She showed a maturity and understanding of God, and is trusting him with her life. You could God's love shining through her. Praying that she continues to give everything to God and let him be the author of her life. It was a great day and a lot to take in!!

All ready to go!

The trees were so lush!

The lift I took to get up to the final run.
Up we go!

The last run

At the End!

Today we (Marisol and the kids, and I) caught a taxi to church. During the morning service the preschool and primary school shared a verse, song, or dance. So that made church a little fuller today. I joined Marisol and her kids for lunch and some time playing games.
On Saturday I was also asked 3 times how I ended up with a Spanish name, and that I didn't go by Rachel. The only response I had was that's what my parents named me :) At Marla's House of Hope I met anther girl with the name Raquel! It was a bit weird at times when they were talking to her and saying my name. It's not everyday that someone has the same name as me :)
Learning how to go out and do things on my own. There is no one to push me to do things but myself, and when I think something would be fun to do or try, there isn't anyone to talk into doing it with me. It's not always easy, and sometimes I really have to talk myself into doing things. But I am learning that it is ok to do things on my own.
